Matt Randall

Matt studied at Toihoukura for 4 years, and in 2009 has enrolled with Sandy Adsett at Toimairangi to complete his B.A in Contemporary Maori Art. He has been a self-employed practising artist since 2005, working in whakairo, mixed media and ta moko. He also holds a trade qualification in engineering.

His art acknowledges the tipuna who have passed on, who were the repositories of a vast store of knowledge that is important to Maori identity. The love of Maori culture is Matt’s driving passion for his art.
